CSM Chronology
1949 | The background starts in Monterrey Nuevo Leon México. Since the beginning the company produced zinc oxide and dust. |
1964 | CSM began manufacturing Zinc Calcium and Aluminum Stearates. |
1965 | CSM diversified its product line by acquiring a local barium chemicals manufacturer. |
1974 | The merger of this created “Sales y Óxidos (SYOSA)”. |
1978. | The situation of the company allowed the entrance of a new group of local investors. |
1984 | The company developed its own know how to manufacture strontium carbonate which had an important increasing market as a specialty glass ingredient. |
1985 | Church & Dwight (Arm & Hammer) acquired 49% of the SYOSA stocks. The production increased 5 times in 4 years. |
1989 | Church & Dwight sold its share to the German manufactured Kalie Chemie (Solvay). |
1990 | Solvay increased their SYOSA stocks from 49% to 75%. |
1994 | There was a firm split, creating two different companies: Corporación Sierra Madre was funded as a 100% Mexican company to handle the metallic soap production, and the Belgian conglomerate Solvay wholly acquired SYOSA. |
1995 | CSM started exporting to Center and South America, and later to the U.S.A. |
2004 | CSM started manufacturing Blends (additives to processing polyolefines). |
2006 | CSM became certified in ISO 9001-2000 as “Development and manufacture of chemical specialties and additives as well as the commercialization of other related chemical products.” |
2006 | CSM started manufacturing Lubricant agents for PVC pipes extrusion and polymers manufacturing. |
2007 | CSM began manufacturing one pack for the PVC pipe extrusion |
2009 | CSM became NSF certify |
2012 | CSM began manufacturing polyethylene oxidized wax and calcium zinc stabilizers. |
2013 | CSM began manufacturing paraffin blends for the PVC pipe extrusion. |
2014 | CSM develops new Lubricant Packages. |
2015 | CSM develops Feed Grade Calcium Stearate. |
2016 | CSM develops new Blends for the Polyolefin Industry. |
2017 | CSM began manufacturing Lithium Stearate. |
