The situation of the company allowed the entrance of a new group of local investors.
The company developed its own know how to manufacture strontium carbonate which had an important increasing market as a specialty glass ingredient.
Church & Dwight (Arm & Hammer) acquired 49% of the SYOSA stocks. The production increased 5 times in 4 years.
Church & Dwight sold its share to the German manufactured Kalie Chemie (Solvay).
Solvay increased their SYOSA stocks from 49% to 75%.
|There was a firm split, creating two different companies: Corporación Sierra Madre was funded as a 100% Mexican company to handle the metallic soap production, and the Belgian conglomerate Solvay wholly acquired SYOSA.|
